School Performances - Teacher
"My students loved having Ms. Coleman come into our classroom to hear about the books she wrote and to hear her sing them. The students continued to talk about the presentation and the different books for a few weeks afterwards. This week, one of my students even wrote their own story that went along with the type of stories that Ms. Coleman writes. It was great to see the inspiration that she had given the children! The books not only teach a message, but have many educational aspects to them. I look forward to reading many more to my classes."

Special Events
We are so grateful to Lisa for coming to perform for the patients and families at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.  Her fabulous stories were brought to life through beautiful songs.   Her original songs were filled with wonderful and uplifting messages that brought much joy to the children here.  Many of our patients are here for weeks and even months.  Through Lisa’s visit, they were temporarily transported to the farm with all the great animals friends.  She is a wonderful songwriter with a loving spirit.  Thank you so much, Lisa!"
- Meryl Franco - Volunteer Services, Children's Healthcare of Atlanta

Teacher, Author, Musician
"Lisa's books & music are wonderful!  They're fun, upbeat, and tell a sweet story with a meaningful lesson!  Mixing music with beautiful story telling is a dynamic educational gift and Lisa has accomplished this masterfully.  I'm anxiously awaiting more."

"There is so much to say... I love teaching with Bob the Cat. My kids beg me everyday to have that story in the listening center. They have worn the book out and want to know why I can't buy all the books. The teaching points in the book are so incredible and it is a great mentor text to use in the classroom. I use Bob the Cat to teach conventions, onomatopoeia, word choice, fluency, print placement and font choice, non-fiction elements such as nocturnal animals and the list goes on and on..."

"I used the book ONCE THERE WAS A ...PIG  with my first graders . They absolutely fell in love with Stinky and could really relate to his dilemna. The content of this selection lent itself well to discussions regarding diversity and bullying.  There was lots of laughter along with the learning.  They enjoy singing along with the cd.  It has become a favorite at our first grade listening center!"

- Rhonda Guzman – Mother of 3, Chicago

Teacher/Parent
“I have read the story to my son many times and he loves the animal sounds.  He laughs when we make the bat noise.  When I put on the cd, he starts his little baby bop as soon as he hears the guitar strumming.  When he hears the "eek eek eek" of the bat, he makes this little squeaking noise, which I think is his bat impression!”
- Kerri Muntner – Kindergarten Teacher, Centennial School, Orland Park, IL
